University seeks student worker for social media

Do you like Facebook? Do you follow Twitter? Do you Tweat?

The University of Scranton is looking for a student for a fall work study position that focuses on social media. The successful applicant should have strong computer skills, specifically in Excel, and be familiar with social networking and its relevance from both a personal and professional perspective.

Duties will include updating the University’s social media pages, tracking statistics of activity on our pages and monitoring new trends in social media. The position requires at least 8 – 10 hours a week.

Workers who have held the position over the last year and a half have found it to be “extremely beneficial in building a skill set that is becoming essential for today’s marketing and communications professionals,” according to Lori Nidoh, director of marketing communications.
