The Weinberg Memorial Library has established a $500 Library Research Prize www.scranton.edu/libraryresearchprize for undergraduate students.
The prize will recognize excellence in research projects that show evidence of significant knowledge in the methods of research and the information gathering process, and use of library resources, tools and services.
Any undergraduate student at any level in any discipline who has completed a research project (in any format) for a credit course at The University of Scranton during the Summer 2010, Fall 2010, Intersession 2011 or Spring 2011 semester is eligible to apply.
Applicants must submit a 500-700 word description of the research methods and information gathering process used for the research project along with a copy of the research project and a bibliography of sources consulted. Projects may be in any format. A letter of faculty support must accompany the application.
Interested Communication students should feel free to come by any faculty member’s office to discuss their proposals.
