River gauge in Wilkes-Barre malfunctions before midnight; Crest recorded before gauge stopped working.

WILKES-BARRE – The Susquehanna River in Wilkes-Barre crested at 38.83 feet at 9:35 p.m. Thursday, less than two feet and more than 10 hours than what was predicted, according to the Middle Atlantic River Forecast Center in State College.
